As today is World Mental Health Day, we have been raising awareness around college. We wore yellow clothing to support the #HelloYellow campaign by Young Minds and raised money for their charity.
The Cafe had a great atmosphere and the students had fun braving the rodeo bull. We enjoyed a game of bingo, thanks to our Student Council and it was lovely to hear some of them share their own experiences with mental health.
Our Chaplaincy was open to anyone who wanted to come and talk, reflect or pray for those affected by suicide. We were also joined by our former Chaplain, Rosie, who is now an ambassador for Mind, she handed out some very informative leaflets and chatted to our students. Mental health can affect anyone and it’s usually the people you least expect it too. So check in on your family and friends and if you are struggling personally there’s lots of help available. Thanks to everyone who took part today, we raised over £60!
