Congratulations to Lower Sixth student Weronika Wuwer for achieving 3rd place in the regional heat of the ARTiculation competition held at the Whitworth Gallery in Manchester!
The ARTiculation Prize is an esteemed annual art history competition organised by the National Gallery, inviting Sixth Form students to present a ten-minute talk on a work of art, artefact, o architecture of their choice.
Weronika, who is currently studying 3D Design, Maths, and BTEC Engineering at Carmel, represented the college in a highly competitive round, facing off against nine other Sixth Form Colleges from across the North West and Yorkshire.
Her presentation on the Caryatid, crafted by Alcamenes and his Circle around 420-415 BCE, was delivered with remarkable passion and insight. We are incredibly proud of Weronika and all her achievements. Well done!
