Last week our A Level Fashion and Textile Design students travelled to London for Graduate Fashion Week.
Our students spent two days at the event which took place at Truman Brewery on Brick Lane. They got to see a number of fabulous catwalk shows as well as three floors of exhibition stands from universities across the country. This was a great opportunity for students to view portfolios from Fashion Design, Communication, Marketing and Promotion courses. There were also a range of talks and advice stands where students were able to ask questions and gain an insight in to careers available in Fashion and Textile Design.
Our students had a great time and were really inspired by ground-breaking graduate collections and the professional catwalk show experience.
During their stay the group also visited the Victoria and Albert Museum. The V&A is the world’s leading museum of art and design, housing a permanent collection of over 2.3 million objects that span over 5,000 years of human creativity!
