This week a group of Upper Sixth students have launched a new Let’sChat instagram account.
This student-led initiative aims to help and support other students who may be experiencing mental health issues. Before starting this service, the group has attended training with former student Lily Spendlove, who is the Chair Person for The Lee Cooper Foundation. This mental health charity for young people aims to change the stigma around poor mental health and to help as many people as possible.
The Carmel_lets_chat account allows the students involved to share advice, listen and help in any way they can. Any student at Carmel can get in touch using the direct message facility on the Instagram account. They are here for all students if they ever need to talk to them confidentially.
