Our talented Computer Science students had a fantastic opportunity recently to take part in the Knowledge Quarter Liverpool’s Future Innovators Programme.

The programme aims to create tangible aspirations among young people by educating them about innovation, science, and technology careers.

Our students visited cutting edge facilities including the Manufacturing Technology Centre, Materials Innovation Factory, LJMU Astrophysics Research Institute and the Digital Innovation Facility. They also got to discuss the challenges and benefits of Artificial intelligence (AI) which is restricted under examination rules, but certainly has a lot of potential for their future careers.

Co-founder of Clixels and Carmel Alumni student, Andy Pink, is going to continue to support the college using his industry expertise to ensure that the Computer Science curriculum aligns with real-world demands.
