The brilliant Dr Tom Crawford visited Carmel’s maths department yesterday to talk about how fluid dynamics can be used to tackle ocean pollution.
We had 120 students attend this fantastic event which was a great success. Several of the math department’s Oxbridge hopefuls also met with Tom before his talk. He gave some great advice about university life at Oxford and Cambridge, and provided some useful tips on the application process. This was a fantastic opportunity for our students.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Tom for visiting us again. If anyone would like to see his work, please visit tomrocksmaths.com or keep an eye out for him on Countdown!
