It was great to welcome Lorraine Wirecko-Brobby to college to host an LCF: Creative Direction for Fashion Workshop for our Fashion and Design students, as part of our Inspire Me series. Lorraine, who is originally from Manchester, attended the London College of Fashion to study UAL BA (Hons) Creative Direction for Fashion and has pursued a career in fashion and design.
The LCF workshop used fashion publications as a framework and students were assigned industry roles to work together to build images using styling, photography and production techniques. It was a great opportunity for students to consider different styles of magazine publications (Vogue, Dazed, I-D etc.). The aim of the session was to help students consider what sort of creative they are, how they can achieve this at UAL and what industry progression options are available to them once they graduate.
We’d like to thank Lorraine for sharing her experience, knowledge and for taking the time to inspire our students.
