This week our lower sixth A Level Fine Art and UAL Diploma students visited Liverpool Hope University to take part in an Art History Taster Event.
This was a bespoke event organised for our students, which was designed to provide students with a greater understanding of the significance and diversity of Art History, and an insight into what it would be like to study the subject at university.
Students attended a series of mini lectures on, the Early Twentieth-Century Art, Photography in Art History, Contemporary Performance Art and Otherness in Early Modern Art. This was a valuable opportunity for students to enrich their knowledge and awareness of key cultural and academic issues relevant to Art History and cognate studies, as well as experience university-style learning.
Thank you to Dr Amelia Yeates, Dr Lynn Hilditch and Dr Kathrin Wagner for inspiring our students
