Congratulations to Amber Taylor and Kiera-Lily Holland for winning this year’s LGBTQ+ History Month art competition.

LGBTQ+ History Month is an annual celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans, and non-binary history and culture.

This year’s theme celebrates the work and life of LGBTQ+ people whose activism “helped shape and create social change, advancing society for everyone”.

For her entry, Amber chose an angel blindfolded, awash with the rainbow flag. This represents the oppression that the community have suffered from over the decades.

Kiera-Lily submitted a portrait of lesbian pop icon Chappell Roan. Kiera is a massive fan and is inspired by Chappell’s take on life and sexuality.

Both students won a Love 2 Shop voucher for their tremendous efforts, well done!
