As part of our ongoing commitment to promoting recycling in the community, we are holding a number of FREE WORKSHOPS over the coming months. Open to college staff as well as the general public, these workshops are a great way to be creative and learn new skills!
Today we held the ‘Upcycling Workshop’ which involved learning how to upcycle old furniture. The group learned how to select the right items to upcycle, found out about different design styles and learned how to use and seal chalk paint.
Each person had the opportunity to get hands-on with their very own project to work on throughout the day. Everyone had a great time, learned a lot and produced some wonderful transformations!
Many thanks to Lauren in Foundation Learning for organising the event. We are looking forward to the next workshop which will be held on Tuesday 27th February.
