There was a brilliant atmosphere in college this lunchtime for our Lower Sixth Freshers’ Fair.

It was a great opportunity for our new students to find out about all the enrichment activities that are available to them. We had stalls and representatives from: the Future Teachers Programme; the Equality & Diversity Committee, Mandarin, LGBT+ Society; Chaplaincy; Feminist Discussion Group; Core Maths; Tech Club; Performance; Philosophy; Duke of Edinburgh; Medicine Society and Science Society.

Students who are interested in sports had the chance to find about our Basketball, Rugby, Netball and Football teams as well as the ski trip and other activities including taekwondo, table tennis, archery and badminton.

There were also representatives from the National Citizenship Scheme, Work Experience and the Student Council who were there to share information and answer questions.

We’re really proud to offer such a diverse range of opportunities which will enable our students to gain extra skills, knowledge and experience for their future. We’d like to say a huge thank you to all staff and students who attended the 2019 Freshers’ Fair. It was a fabulous start to another exciting year at Carmel College!
