Fourteen of our Lower Sixth Chemistry students competed against approximately 7,500 students across the UK, in the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge, set by Cambridge University.
The competition is in the form of a 90 minute written paper, which they sit in college, it aims to stretch and challenge students that are interested in Chemistry. Designed by an experienced team to be accessible to year 12 students but will take them significantly beyond the syllabus and it encourages them to think about science in a way they would as a university student.
Fourteen of our students sat the exam and were awarded certificates, three students gaining a silver award and eleven received a bronze.
Well done to all that took part!
