Former Carmel student Peter Dickinson releases his first book nationally!
Peter attended Carmel College between the years of 2007 and 2009. After leaving Carmel, Peter gained a place at the University of Liverpool and achieved a MESci (Masters of Earth Science) degree in Geology. Recently, he has been in touch to tell us about his latest achievement.
He mentioned that “in 2011 I first came across the preserved Llangollen Railway. My research and volunteering on the railway brought me into contact with many who knew and worked on the line.”
Peter’s work explores the emphasis on the social impact and characters involved with the line than more traditional railway histories, which provides a unique insight into the line’s history.
The book is available from WHSmiths, Waterstones, Blackwells and Amazon.
