Last week our Lower Sixth UAL Extended Diploma and A Level 3D Design students visited Liverpool to take inspiration from the fantastic architecture within the city.
The students had a packed schedule starting with a visit to the Forest of Fabrication Exhibition at RIBA North. The exhibition celebrates the possibilities of using materials such as timber in modern architecture and design.
Following this, our students visited the leading architecture practice, Brock Carmichael Architects. They listened to an inspiring careers talk from Thomas Greenhill and former Carmel student Jon Farrell.
Last but not least, the group visited the Mersey Tunnels where they had a fantastic tour of the city’s most famous piece of engineering and design.
Our Art and Design students had an amazing day and loved the experience!
