Our Senior Pastoral Tutor in Foundation Learning, Mollie, joined some Carmel College students at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral last week for a special mass to celebrate John ‘Jack’ Traynor’s miraculous cure.

In 1923, John Traynor took part in the first official Liverpool Archdiocese pilgrimage to Lourdes. John’s recovery has now been officially recognised as the 71st miracle of Lourdes.

Mollie, who is also a staff member for the Archdiocese Youth Pilgrimage said: “It felt an honour to attend the celebration mass for Jack Traynor. It was an evening filled with joy and hope. To have hope is so important, especially for young people, so to have students from Carmel present to be witness to and participate in this celebration of hope was special. It has certainly got us all excited for our 2025 pilgrimage to Lourdes.”
