Old and unwanted toys have been given a new home after students donated them as part of a charity appeal to help stock a shop over the festive period.
Our students got involved in the toy appeal which was organised by Marie Curie’s Old Swan and Knotty Ash Fundraising Group to stock their branches in the area.
College chaplain Kate Wilkinson said: “I am so proud of the staff and students here at Carmel who have done brilliantly in supporting a number of charities this advent including Marie Curie.
“They all came together to support a charity close to many people’s hearts, our staff and students are so generous and will be supporting Marie Curie in the future.
“We aim to collect even more next year and have students already thinking about how to help in different ways too.”
Fundraiser Antony Jones said: “One of the members of the Old Swan group attends Carmel College, and has forged a great link with Marie Curie.
“The toy appeal has been a great success, we can’t thank the group enough for organising such a fantastic appeal.”
Marie Curie are looking for new members to join their local St Helens Fundraising Group.
