We are thrilled to announce that Carmel College is featured The Times’ Top 50 State Sixth Form Colleges league table!

Seventy five state Sixth form colleges have been ranked by the percentage of students achieving AAB in two+ facilitating subjects*. Carmel is placed 19th in the table and is also ranked within the top two state sixth forms in Merseyside!

We caught up with Principal Janet Gater who said; “We are incredibly proud of the achievements and successes of all our young people. This Times ranking is a fantastic accolade for the college and is testament to the hard work and commitment of all of our students and staff.”

Year-on-year Carmel students achieve fantastic exam results with a significant number achieving high grades, enabling fantastic progression to competitive destinations, whether that be university, degree-apprenticeships or employment. Last year, five students continued their studies at prestigious Oxbridge Universities and a further twelve students progressed to study Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Science courses.
