Carmel College was thrilled to welcome BBC Radio 1’s Life Hacks team to campus for an inspiring and practical session on essential life skills. The event, titled Real World Ready: Practical Skills for Money, Work & Independence, provided students with invaluable advice to help them navigate adulthood with confidence.

Covering key topics such as money management, funding creative projects, and preparing for working life, the session was designed to equip students with real-world knowledge they can apply in their futures. Experts from BBC Radio 1 shared insider tips and guidance, helping students feel more prepared for life beyond education.

A highlight of the day was seeing Carmel College alumnus Eleanor Doyle return to campus in her role at BBC Radio 1. Eleanor, who is now a key part of the Life Hacks team, offered firsthand insights and shared her journey from student to radio professional. It was a fantastic moment of inspiration for current students, showing them what’s possible with passion and determination.
