Our Upper Sixth Performing Arts students are hard at work rehearsing for their performance of All The World’s A Stage 🎭
This evening of exciting and dynamic monologues will take place on Wednesday 11th November at 7PM in our Dalton Theatre. Each monologue has a personal connection and relatable story for each of our student actors taken from a variety of plays and film, including the Barbie movie and Macbeth to name a few.

Eleven of our PE & Sport students attended the Sport Science and Football Industry day at LJMU Sport. This was a unique opportunity provided for our learners to explore careers within the industry.

The day involved a variety of football science practicals, lectures on the role of science in football, analytics in the football industry as well as a Q+A session with industry experts. The experience was extremely valuable for the students involved. Thanks again to our stakeholders at @ljmu_sport for organising.

Our Upper 6th English Literature students had a va

Our Upper 6th English Literature students had a valuable opportunity to learn about ecocritical literary theory and ecofeminism when they attended a lecture and seminar delivered by Dr Anna Burton of the University of Derby.

They looked at the work of Christina Rossetti through an ecological lens in a seminar on 'Literature and the Environment', which gave insight into the climate consciousness of Victorian writers.

This term our Upper 6th A Level Computer Science students took part in the Future Innovators Programme within the Knowledge Quarter Liverpool. Students were invited to a wide variety of workshops and activities delivered by leading edge technology businesses within the Knowledge Quarter. These included:

The Digital Innovation Facility - exploring how AI and VR are being used to enhance services in the Liverpool City Region

The Manufacturing Technology Centre - developing robotic solutions in a workshop

The Materials Innovation Factory - touring the multi-million pound research facilities at the University of Liverpool

LJMU School of Astrophysics - exploring how advanced robotics, engineering and astrophysics are used in new technology projects

Clixels - learning how AI can aid businesses in a workshop at this new web solutions and AI company

The Civic Health Innovation Laboratory - discovering how AI and health data is being researched to develop solutions to community health problems.

Yesterday twenty of our students who are part of the Art and Design competitions enrichment visited Cherie Grist's artist studio at her own female creative business and workshop space, @boldplacecic.

This was organised by Nat who is a producer at the @ourheartofglass who has been working with our students on creating their own individual zines and gaining a bronze arts award qualification.

This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to speak to an inspirational full-time artist and see their studio and space, gaining valuable real-life insight into art as a full-time career.
