The study of politics is very useful for a number of careers. Some examples include Politician, Police Officer, Journalist, Civil Servant, Public Affairs role, Accountant, Stockbroker, Business Manager and Social Researcher.

I’ve loved studying Politics at Carmel. It has been extremely insightful and supportive in developing my cultural understanding of the political climate today.
I have received lots of support through consistent tutorials, resources and assessments integrated within the 2 year course which have supported my learning and understanding of Politics.
A Level Politics has allowed me to become much more aware of the world, start conversations and given me opportunities to be apart of the change in society today.
Support given in early birds, tutorials and lessons in general strengthen my knowledge and also facilitate the ability to get involved and build up my social skills and confidence. There is always support given and delivered through feedback and revision sessions.

“Carmel provided me with a huge range of opportunities such as participating in European Youth Parliament and being part of the Student Council. These opportunities gave me the experience and confidence I needed to succeed at university and provided the foundations to building my career.
“I studied Politics at the University of Sheffield and had a great time. I was part of the Politics Society (Polsoc) where I was Editor of the Polsoc paper for a year. I currently work as a civil servant for the Building Safety Regulator; part of the Health and Safety Executive. I work in the Chief Inspector of Buildings Office as an Executive Assistant to one of the Deputy Directors.”
