What you will study:
- The World of the Hero: Epic stories of mythology and adventure through Homer’s Odyssey and Virgil’s Aeneid.
- Greek Art: Reflections of classical Greek identity through the visual storytelling of sculpture, architecture, and ceramics.
- Greek Religion: An exploration of the core beliefs systems of ancient Greece, including mythology, the relationship between mortals and immortals, rituals and sacrifices, and hero cults.
You will develop sought-after transferable skills in critical analysis, evaluation, visual literacy, judgement-making, and independent research. This diverse subject particularly complements History, English Literature, Politics, Theology, Philosophy & Ethics and Art subjects.
