There are written examinations and internal assessments (practical sessions, essays, assignments, presentations and interviews)

Progression

The Extended Certificate is worth 56 UCAS points. In 2024, 33% of students who studied a PE/Sport course, went on to study a sport-related course at one of the QS UK Top 15 Universities (sport-related courses) in fields such as sport and exercise science, nutrition, physiotherapy, sports therapy, rehabilitation, PE & school sport, coaching, and sports management.

Many of our students also progress to apprenticeships and employment in sport related and non-sport related fields.
