BTEC Health & Social Care Diploma (Double)

This course is an excellent choice for a career in Health, Social Care, Community Justice or Early Years sectors. You will develop practical, interpersonal and thinking skill and study a wide range of topics assessed by exams and coursework.

The courses are very hands-on and you will have the opportunity to undertake several work experience placements. The Diploma is equivalent to 2 A Levels.

Entry Requirements

GCSE grade 4 in Maths, English Language and Science and a Pass in Health & Social Care (if studied)

Assessments

Assessment is through a combination of coursework and exams.

External Assessment – linked to a specific unit of study (exams and set tasks twice a year)
Internal Assessment – assignments (research, case studies, projects, skills)
Synoptic Assessment – set tasks (demonstrating skills, techniques, concepts, theories and knowledge)
