During the summer, former student, Taylor Prescott took part in a remarkable endurance challenge. He ran a virtual 216-mile journey to Wembley for what would have been the Challenge Cup Final Day.
To complete this challenge, Taylor ran 31 miles a day for seven consecutive days; an incredible achievement for a teenager who usually runs no more than 10k!
Since Taylor’s dad passed away 2013, he has completed a series of challenges. Alongside his family, friends and supporters of the Steve Prescott Foundation (SPF), they have raised a lot of money to support the foundation. Sadly, the Covid-19 Pandemic has affected a lot of charities including the SPF as fundraising has been limited. Taylor wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps and set himself a goal to raise £10,000 for the charity which was set up by his dad.
To date, Taylor has raised over £12,000 for his challenge, which will go to the Steve Prescott Foundation and his Just Giving page is still open if anyone would like to donate – https://justgiving.com/fundraising/taylorsultrarun
Well done Taylor, we are very proud of you at Carmel!
