Great to hear from former Law student, Bobby Jo Doherty, who is currently a Level 3 CILEX Paralegal Apprentice in the Serious Injury team at Carpenters Group.
Bobby Jo left Carmel last year with A Levels in Law, Psychology and Sociology. In September she started her apprentice training, knowing that the experience she would gain through the apprenticeship was a key to a successful legal career.
It’s great to hear that Bobby Jo is doing so well. She has recently featured in the Liverpool Law Society magazine talking about her experience so far. She said : “I believe that going to University and academic ability no longer secures you a job in a way it once did and experience is a much desired skill. The route enables me to learn both from the curriculum and the professionals around me who are there to offer their knowledge and expertise. This is a benefit of working in the everyday environment.
“After completing this course in 2021, I hope to secure a place on a Level 7 Apprenticeship and continue to progress at Carpenters. In the next 10 years, I would ideally be a qualified solicitor within the personal injury sector and manage cases of my own.”
We wish Bobby Jo every success for the future.
