Lower Sixth student, Heidi Reece, has recently been given a fantastic opportunity to take photos for local musician, James Holt.

Heidi, who studies Photography, Film Studies and Media Studies at Carmel, showcases her fantastic portraiture and street photography on Instagram. It was there that solo artist, James Holt, noticed Heidi’s work. He got in touch with Heidi to see if she would take photos at his gig in April.

James also asked Heidi to come along to a film shoot for his music video, ‘Mystery Girl’. This took place at the Eagle Inn in Manchester and was a great opportunity for Heidi. Her photos of the 1920’s masquerade theme will feature across James’ social media as a sneak peek behind the scenes of his music video.

At the shoot, Heidi also had the opportunity to pass her details on to Matthew Boone, Head of Creative for Management Company, Scruff of the Neck. Matthew manages a number of other bands and musicians who may be interested in Heidi’s work!

Heidi is really looking forward to working with James again soon and can’t wait to see what other opportunities lie ahead for her in the future.
