Once again the Carmel Community has come together to raise a phenomenal amount for our Foundation Learning trip to London!
We are so grateful to have the support of so many people in and around college helping to raise funds for a fantastic trip of a life time. Yesterday our resident Get Active Co-ordinator, Dan Champan, decided to take on the Cycling Challenge to London. Stationed in our coffee bar, Dan, alongside other members of staff and students, rode the distance from Carmel College to London on an exercise bike. That’s an impressive 221 miles! It took an entire day with the support and help from everyone at Carmel. Thanks to your generous donations, we have managed to raise £600 for our Foundation Learning students’ trip.
Later this week, Head of English, Liz Connor, will be running in the Rock ‘n’ Roll marathon taking place in Liverpool to help raise more money. She will be running an impressive 10k around the city and will pass a plethora of famous Liverpool landmarks. If you are in Liverpool on Sunday please head on down to cheer Liz on! All of the donations raised so far will be added to the total from our Foundation Learning Coffee Morning. Our students will be visiting London on 12th June 2019 and we cannot wait to see what they get up to!
Thank you to everyone who has kindly donated. We are so touched by the heartwarming gestures from both staff and students who are willing to help others create memories that will last a lifetime.
