It was a busy evening yesterday for two groups of students who are part of the High Achievers’ Programme at Carmel.

Students applying for Medicine, Dentistry and Vet Science degrees were put through their paces at a Multi Mini Interview event. Twelve students took part in role plays, data analysis tasks and discussions on topics such as ethics, with a number of experts and professionals including former Carmel student Anthony Wright. Anthony is now studying Medicine at Keele University and he went through this interview preparation process himself at Carmel two years ago.

Professionals and former Carmel students who have studied at Oxbridge were also in college yesterday evening. They were helping ten of our students prepare for interviews at Oxford and Cambridge for degrees in Law, Science and Engineering. One former student, Ryan Ellison, who is currently studying Biochemistry at Exeter College, Oxford, conducted his interviews by Skype! Next week will be the turn of students who have applied to Oxbridge to study Maths.
