On Friday, Carmel proudly hosted the St Helens Catenians Public Speaking Competition after our student, Sophia Smith, won the title last year. Our Principal, Mike Hill, did a great job as Master of Ceremonies and carried out the role with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Our Senior Management Team and College Ambassadors ensured it was a great evening for the participating schools, Catenians and their guests. It was lovely to see so many people from the school community supporting the event.

Well done to all those who took part and special congratulations to our very own Emily Garratt for winning the competition. She spoke on the topic of “Tomorrow Never Comes” and we wish her all the best for the forthcoming Nationals and look forward to hosting the event again next year!
