We welcomed Head of Equity & Inclusion at Everton Football Club, Ben Osu, for a Respect, Celebrate, Empower: Creating a Safe and Inclusive World event! Ben’s talk explored his 15 years’ experience working in social justice, community development, equity and inclusion. He shared poignant experiences within the sporting industry which has made equality and respect the centrefold for inclusivity at Everton Football Club.

Ben also explained some of the struggles sports players face within the industry and how his role has shaped the prejudices once prevalent within sport. He inspired our students by challenging them to treat others regardless of their differences, with respect and humility.
