Carmel’s Cultural Appreciation Day is back for 2024 and what a celebration we’ve had around college!

The atmosphere in our canteen was fantastic with the highlight of the day being our flag parade, dance performances by our African and Caribbean, Latin and South Asian student societies and native language speakers representing cultures across the world.

Across college in lessons, we continued the theme of the day, with food delicacies from different cultures, cultural stories and poems, discussing different religious festivals and so much more.

We are so proud to see so many students and staff attend college in traditional dress to celebrate their cultures. It has been such a great day and we are so proud of our diverse community here at Carmel.

Thank you to everyone who has been involved in the planning and execution of such a momentous day within the Carmel calendar, we cannot wait to see Cultural Appreciation Day return for 2025!
