Our Upper 6th English Literature students had a valuable opportunity to learn about ecocritical literary theory and ecofeminism when they attended a lecture and seminar delivered by Dr Anna Burton of the University of Derby.
They looked at the work of Christina Rossetti through an ecological lens in a seminar on ‘Literature and the Environment’, which gave insight into the climate consciousness of Victorian writers. A great example of learning outside the classroom!
