Before Easter we were delighted to welcome Carmel Alumni student Oliver Bennett into college to deliver a talk to our A Level Graphic Design students.
Oliver left Carmel in 2019 with A Levels in Graphic Design, Maths and Business Studies, progressing to study a degree in Graphics. He then worked as an intern at Manchester Utd FC before landing his dream job as Commercial Designer for Everton FC in January this year.
During the talk our students learned about Oliver’s exciting current role and career path so far, as well as his top tips and advice for success within the graphic design industry. Oliver was also kind enough to showcase samples of his work which included a book to celebrate Cristiano Ronaldo’s 700th goal, a video celebrating the history of Goodison Park, and artwork produced for several celebrity fans, from Kim Kardashian to Tyson Fury!
After the talk Oliver said, “On a personal level, this was where I first started studying Graphic Design which obviously became my career once leaving, graduating and getting my recent job roles. Thank you David Fox and Kate Moffatt for letting me talk to your classes! Hopefully I’ve inspired the next generation of Graphic Designers.”
We’d like to thank Oliver for taking the time to visit us and talk to our students about the opportunities available to them after graduating.
