Congratulations to the three students who won this year’s Black History Month Competition.

Each year we celebrate Black History Month by running a competition relating to Black History. Students are invited to submit entries in one of the following categories –

• Artwork celebrating inspirational individuals (any media)
• A poem about the contributions of communities or inspirational individuals
• A short story or children’s book about the lived experiences relating to Black History Month

This year’s competition saw lots of fantastic and creative entries. Congratulations to our top 3 winners:

? First Place goes to Kate Bewley with her portrait of Daisy Bates
? Second place goes to Katie Shepherd with her celebration of Black women in STEM.
? Third Place goes to Sian Gregg with her tribute to Harriet Tubman.

All three students received Amazon vouchers for their winning pieces!
