Dr. Thomason from the University of Liverpool reached out to us recently to let us know how well one of our Alumni students has been doing at University.

Congratulations to Andrew Georgiou, who gained a First-Class Honours Degree in Computer Science this year! Andrew has worked exceptionally hard over the past 3 years, despite having to adapt to online learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic. At the end of the 3 years of his Undergraduate Degree, Andrew won the BCS Merseyside Prize for ‘Best Student on a Degree Programme’ and the Andrew Young Prize for excellent performance! We are absolutely thrilled for Andrew, what a fantastic achievement!

We asked Andrew what was next for him – “Next year I will be joining Barclays as a Software Engineer following on from a summer internship I had with them this year. In the meantime, I was awarded a full academic scholarship from Kings College to study an MPhil in Advanced Computer Science, so I will be continuing my studies at The University of Cambridge.”
