Our A-Level Photography students recently had the opportunity to experience the Tom Wood – Pier Head exhibition at the Open Eye Gallery in Liverpool. The exhibition looks at people’s everyday experience of a regional icon (The Pier Head) during the eighties.

In the afternoon students completed a shoot on location at the North Docks to document the area prior to the ‘Ten Streets’ development which is set to redevelop the site giving it a distinctive personality and purpose. Our students photographed and documented maritime and industrial architecture in its original form.

Whilst at the North Docks we visited ‘Make Liverpool’ for a tour of the building and facilities and received great advice regarding being creative in the industry and how ‘Make’ promote collaborative working and sharing ideas in business.
