Six students attended the first Girls Rugby session of the year and were put through their paces by rugby coach, Kieran Lacey. The girls practised fundamental skills, such as tackling, passing and movement, their abilities ranged from those who had played before to those who were brand new to the sport. The main focus is on enjoyment and forming a new social group within college where the girls can get to know each other. The team will attend a Girls Rugby Festival on the 8th February, which celebrates the growth in Girls Rugby. Sessions are held every Tuesday lunchtime 1-2pm.
